Pre-Weathered & Sealed Corten Screens

Urban Metalwork now offer a new service due to popular demand and request by our regular clients.

In the past, Corten Steel had been causing issues within the Industry in regards to weathering & leaching / staining due to the rusted water run off.

After a lot of trial and error, and back and forth with samples, products etc, Urban Metalwork now have a formula we use to seal our Corten products where it may be requested or required.

Once the sealant is placed on the screen, the natural weathering process will stop, so we pre-weather the screens or fabricated items at our manufacturing facility, and seal them at completion of the weathering. The weathering process is done in house, and is a controlled and monitored process.

No more leaching, staining or issues when it comes to chalky, dirty residue on Corten Steel products.

Our weathering chemicals and sealant’s are a proprietary blend by Urban Metalwork, it is not available for sale on it’s own.
